JAPAN-FPO in RENDEZ-VOUS NYC

Five young designers from our JAPAN Fashion Product Organization (JAPAN-FPO) will participate in an exhibition "RENDEZ-VOUS NYC" from February 20th to 22th. Please come and see these five progressive designers who bravely try to advance into overseas markets despite this harsh economic condition.

Prior to the exhibition in NY, we hold an event "JAPAN FASHION WEEK (JFW) PRESENTS - DESIGNER PREVIEW IN NEW YORK" on February 18th featuring eight designers.
This presentation is held at the same period as New York Collection. We hope you will also visit the event and our booth of JAPAN-FPO. Buyers can enter the site without invitations.

What is "JAPAN-FPO"?

JAPAN-FPO was launched in July 2008 by founders like the following; "Creators with advanced design skill and spirited ideas", "Material manufacturers and fabrication factories with excellent designs and advanced technique", "Manufactures focusing on to produce high quality products", and "Companies who can support creators on business aspects". This organization plays a role of a network connecting creators and manufacturers, and aims to vitalize the fashion industry by cooperating with each other and producing a synergistic effect.

About RENDEZ-VOUS

RENDEZ-VOUS held exhibitions of each of men's wear and women's wear in Paris in 2004 as one of the projects of a Paris brand "Surface to Air". Now, more than 120 brands around the world join in RENDEZ-VOUS.
RENDEZ-VOUS NYC, started in February 2009 in New York, is a joint exhibition which gathers about 80 brands of men's and women's clothing from around the world.

Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and Japan Fashion Week Organization (JFW) hold the second JAPAN FASHION WEEK (JFW) PRESENTS DESIGNER PREVIEW IN NEW YORK in cooperation with JAPAN-FPO (JFPO) in order to increase recognition of JFW in the U.S. and support businesses of Japanese fashion brands in the U.S. market.
