Designers going to JFW in NY express their hopes

aptform

I would like to thank you very much and all the people in JAPAN-FPO for this great opportunity to take part in the event, JFW in NYC, by JETRO in NY & the RENDEZ-VOUS NYC.
It is a unique change to show our collection during the NY Fashion Week and represent Japanese fashion culture through this.
Also to be a part of RENDEZ-VOUZ NYC trade show will give us a possibility to experiense the market in the U.S.A. and meet more international people as press, buyers.
Once more, I really appreciate all your kind efforts to make this come true.
Look forward to seeing you there.

CHAOLU lab

It has been two years since launching the brand. In these two years, I was busy dealing with the work at hand, and had no time to see the global market.
This event is a good opportunity for me to take a step forward. I hope to use this chance as a key to connect with the world.

MIKIO SAKABE

MIKIO SAKABE has ever had exhibitions in Tokyo, Paris, Milan, and Spain until Spring-Summer 2010. This is the first time to exhibit in New York. I would like to take this opportunity to let more and more people know MIKIO SAKABE.

Naoshi Sawayanagi

The brand's concept for this season is "wear the material". This is also my proposal for consumers to choose materials like they choose clothes, and learn more about materials.
All the fabrics used in this collection are made using Japanese technique. Some of them are created from materials in collaboration with award-winning textile production sites, and one of them is "WHOLEGARMENT" by the world-famous SHIMA SEIKI. For this season, I challenged to garment making with consideration of material's characteristics and human body.
In Rendez-Vous, I hope visitors will check Japanese latest creations and also see sensitivities in these works. At the same time, I hope this exhibition abroad will be a trigger making Japanese people notice today's Japanese creations.
Exhibits are displayed as if the mannequins are wearing just materials, but what if you wear these materials?
Don't miss it.

YU

"Fashion is a thing that gives us self-confidence and pride"
Living in this modern age is like living in a flood of information where we can get anything easily.
That's why we need to stop for a while to think.
"Personal" - Individual, Values, Self-identity, Positive confidence and strength, and Freedom
"Timeless" - Beauty beyond time, Harmony between modernity and perpetually-inheriting attitude
"Perfection" - Succession of manufacturing tradition and technique, Pride of craftsmanship
I arrived at above three words.
I hope to convey to more people the uplifting feeling and charm of fashion.
I believe this opportunity will be a big step for our future.
Thank you very much.
