mintdesigns AT JAPAN FASHION WEEK

The very first collection of 2009 S/S Japan Fashion Week was started by mintdesigns.   There was a large audience for the collection started at 10:30am at wood terrace in Tokyo Midtown.

The runway was coordinated with serve-as-rain-and-shine umbrellas, which will be sold from this fall. It was fun collection to see mintdesigns’ unique designs and colors.

Those items printed on thin-vinyl materials are what designers are strong in.

At last, surrounded by interviewers as you assume.

AKIRA NAKA AT JAPAN FAAHION WEEK

On Sept.2nd at noon, started collection of AKIRA NAKA @ Harajyuku Quest Hall

(the 2nd day of Japan Fashion Week)

(Starts the collection)

Unlike the impacted last presentation (the gradation of knit from woven), Mr. Naka Akira (the designer) presented simple and dressy clothes, which he previously presented in Europe.

He did not show up on the runway…..

Instead, he called out my name outside the hall!

We congratulated and shook hands each other!!

Interviewers crowded around him in no time☆★☆★

SAKABE MIKIO AT JAPAN FASHION WEEK

On Sept. 1st, collection of Mikio Sakabe started at Harajuku Quest Hall at noon.

Although this was his 2nd Tokyo collection, I could tell it was very well attended by looking at lots of standees!

The designer showed his own world using spring/summer-feel-textile and its color, yet keeping simple but sophisticated images from the last season.

seminer : "True intention of the overseas buyers"

On Aug 08 from 18:00 at Nire Ups Inc office,  JAPAN-FPO will have the seminer limited for the members of JAPAN-FPO  Seminer Title : “True intention of the overseas buyers”    A lecturer: M. Okada, Director of JAPAN-FPO, Managing Director of Nire Ups Inc.   We have to know the thought of the foreign buyers  when we think about how we should approach them to expant our business in foreign countries.   M. Okada was in charge of export and overseas business at Issey Miyake Inc for many years, and now he is concerned with the foreign countries development of the domestic brand leader.  He reports the contents which he got the reputation of JFW and a demand to a designer and a severe opinion from each buyer after his trip back from Hong Kong, Taiwan etc.
